"Opening doors to rights" is an exhibition by the Catalan Ombudsman to commemorate, in 2009, three important dates for the Síndic's existence and history: 

• 600 years of the first institution for the defence of rights in Catalonia, "provisor de greuges", founded by King Martí the Humane in 1409.   
• 30 years of the first Statute of Autonomy of Spain's decomcracy that gave the Parliament the power to designare an Ombudsman.
• 25 years of the Síndic's regulation law ad of the foundation of the current Ombudsman institution.

The exhibition has been conceived to be itinerant. The Síndic wishes to offer it  to every town in Catalonia as the exhibit is not only about the history of the institution  but about its utility for the citizens.
