Parliamentary Commission Debate on the report Protection of children at high social risk in Catalonia

The special report Protection of children at high social risk in Catalonia will be debated in a parliamentary commission next Monday November, 9. The debate will consist of a presentation by the Catalan Ombudsman and the Deputy Ombudsman for the Defense of Children's Rights, followed by interventions by representatives of the parliamentary groups. The Catalan Ombudsman will then take questions.

The Catalan Ombudsman's staff will receive anyone wishing to make queries or file complaints against the administrations from 4 to 7:30 pm in the ACP Salut, plaça Joan Casanovas 1 (next to the primary care clinic). The trip forms part of a collaboration agreement signed by the Catalan Ombudsman and the Sant Sadurní local council. Appointments must be made by calling 900 124 124, or sending a message to sindic@sindic.cat, with the name and contact telephone number of the person making the appointment.

The "Opening the Doors to Rights" Exhibition" to visit Cambrils and Canet de Mar

The traveling exhibition, "Opening Doors to Rights", conceived by the Catalan Ombudsman to demonstrate the institution's history and work, will be on display from November 9th to the 22nd in the lobby of the Cambrils Local Council, plaça de l'Ajuntament, 4. The presentation ceremony will be held on the 11th at 2 pm. The exhibit will be housed in Canet de Mar at the Casa Lluís Domènech i Muntaner Museum (corner of Riera Buscarons and Riera Gavarra) from November 23rd to December 8th. The presentation ceremony will be held on the 25th at 2 pm.

Code of Obligations and Prohibitions for tourist apartments

The Catalan Ombudsman has proposed a code of obligations and prohibitions for tourist apartments that share common spaces with family residences. The Catalan Ombudsman has insisted that, in addition to the code, an immediate response from the authorities is necessary when neighbors complain about the nuisances caused by tourist apartments.
