improve administrations, making the institution better known and
creating a network of rights are the goals of the Síndic de Greuges
(Catalan Ombudsman) for his new term, as Ombudsman Ribó himself

priority given to the most potentially vulnerable groups of society,
such as children, the elderly or immigrants, is especially

The
Catalan Ombudsman has suggested that the T-12 public transit pass be
provided free of charge. The pass allows minors under 12 to use
public transit in the Barcelona metropolitan area, and costs 35
euros. The Catalan Ombudsman doubts that the amount charged is only
to allay the cost of issuing the pass, as the Administration has
stated, and that it does not include any payment for using the
service.
