The Síndic explains the problem of unaccompanied immigrant minors to the European ombudsmen for children
The Assistant for the protection of children's rights, Jaume Funes, and other members of the Síndic's team, participate from today until the 23rd of September in the annual meeting of the European Network of Ombudspersons for Children (ENOC) taking place in Varsovia (Polonia) this year. The association groups the European ombudsmen for the children.
Jaume Funes will explain to his European colleagues the problem that is being experienced in Catalunya regarding the unaaccompanied immigrant teenagers and the actions done by the Síndic, as a rights' defender. This year's ENOC meeting concentrates on three main topics: preventing family separation, protecting the rights of unaccompanied and separated children and commercial and media pressure on children.
