Visit of the Portuguese Ombudsman
The Provedor de Justiça (Portuguese Ombudsman), Henrique Nascimento Rodrigues, and two members of his team, visited the Catalan Ombudsman's office for two days.
The purpose of the visit was to get to know the office's functioning and the activities carried out by the Síndic in different fields, like town planning, environment and penitentiary centres.
During the visit, both, Nascimento and Rafael Ribó, the Catalan Ombudsman, took part on May 14th in the event: "The defence of citizen's rights within the European Union", hold in the village of Vilafranca del Penedès by the Local Council and the local Ombudsman.
