International Ombudsman Meeting in Barcelona to tackle the refugee crisis and other current challenges regarding human rights
Rafael Ribó, European chairman of the International Ombudsman Institute, has organized this workshop, that will take place on 26th and 27th April in the Saló del Tinell
International experts, for instance, the Italian professor Stefano Rodotà, will be also taking part in the seminar
Ombudsmen from around the world, most of them European, and some college experts will be gathering on 26th and 27th April in Barcelona to discuss about the current challenges with regards to human rights. The seminar has been organized within the framework of the International Ombudsman Institute by the Ombudsman of Catalonia, Rafael Ribó, who is also the European chairman of the Institute.
The workshop, that will take place in Saló del Tinell, has as the goal of claiming the safeguard of rights and the role of the Ombudsman in a context of refugee crisis, economic crisis and discussion between security and freedom, in which fundamental humans rights are being put into question.
