The
Catalan Ombudsman's recommendations on the elimination of
pre-university secondary education at some schools. |
 |
The
Ombudsman recommends that the Department of Education prepare a
specific report for each affected school, systematically analyzing
the impact that such an elimination could have on the effective
exercise of the right to equal educational opportunities. If the
analysis of these areas reveals a negative impact, the Catalan
Ombudsman suggests that the Department of Education reassess the
application of this measure, or otherwise compensate the effects it
could have on educational equality.

Establishment
of different water rates for those registered in the municipal
census and those who are not |
 |
The
Catalan Ombudsman has sent recommendations to the local councils of
Tossa de Mar and Figaró-Montmany for them to modify their rates
regulations to do away with the distinction between users registered
in the municipal census and those who are not, as such a measure is
contrary to the principle of equality before the law, as is
established by numerous judicial rulings.
